Chicago-A Midwest Paris
Some would say that a West view at nite in Chicago is the perfect view, as a straight on East view of the lake can result in inky blackness. What is your preference?

I would like a ying-yang please! or half-n-half. I love the bright lights shining in from the high city buildings and dazzling street lights around the holidays, but I also want a calm view of water to ease the stress from my mind body and soul.
After a tiring day of school/work I would want to come home, set my keys down on the coffee table, go to the kitchen and make myself a nice cup of warm hazelnut cappuccino with a decent amount of fluffy white vanilla froth and a gentle sprinkle of cinnamon on top; then walk on over to the balcony, brush the curtain aside and get lost in relaxation of the amazing water view that mother earth has created with the gleaming lights of tall architectural designs that mankind had made. If there's such view, only the word perfection comes to mind and that's a way to end my day and start my night. :)
But my mom's really into fung shui and says that water brings good luck to families, the bigger body of it the better! So I think she'd choose the East view with the lake. :)
Lights shimmering on water may very well be the perfect view! I will endeavor to showcase some of these photos in the near future. Great pic you sent. Fred
